WDWNT Episode 119 (11/16/09) – Standard Edition

Join me, Tom Corless, and a cast including Justin Heyman, Anthony Yacullo, Chris Lastrapes, Brandon Struve, Kendra Struve, and Scott Smith for a variety show that celebrates the Walt Disney World Resort and its many fans. So what are you waiting for? Let’s celebrate another week of information and fun on the WDW News Today Podcast!!!

To kick off this week’s show, we have your Walt Disney World Resort News and Rumor Report. In this week’s report, we’ll be discussing the frequent soft-openings of Space Mountain from its long refurbishment and what riders can expect from the classic attraction now. We’ll also talk about the retirement of an annual tradition at Epcot, and some surprises that may await you on your next journey aboard Expedition: Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

Following the report, Brandon Struve and his wife Kendra are going to take us on an exciting audio adventure through the updated and relaunched Space Mountain attraction at the Magic Kingdom. While the audio isn’t anything special, I think you’ll enjoy they’re opinionated review of the refurbishment.

Finally, to wrap up this week’s show, we have another installment of our Walt Disney World history segment, Back to the Future. In this week’s trip through time, we’ll be looking at the history of the amazing shrinking Studio Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s a fun discussion as we delve into the fascinating story of the infamous tram and walking tour that has been constantly changing over the last two decades of the park’s existence.
