WDWNT Episode 111 (9/21/09) – D23 Expo Review Special – Standard Edition

Join me, Tom Corless, and a cast including Kenny Siegel, Shawn Hutchison, Lee Scott, Matt Paul, Scott Smith, and Luke Manning for a variety show that celebrates the Walt Disney Company and its many fans. So what are you waiting for? Let’s celebrate another week of Disney information and fun on the WDW News Today Podcast!!!

To begin our look back at the D23 Expo, we have a round-table discussion featuring everyone from the WDWNT Network staff who attended the event and we’ll try to pick out the highlights of the amazing four day extravaganza from each and every corner of the Walt Disney Company. Following the discussion, we turn our attention to the Disney Parks and what is on the way to our favorite vacation destinations. The first live audio clips we have to share are interviews I conducted with Disney Imagineers about the biggest displays from the Disney Parks and Resorts pavilion, featuring two of the biggest expansions in the history of the Disney Theme Parks. Following that, we have audio from the press conference following the announcement of the huge Fantasyland Expansion for Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom and the addition of Star Tours II to Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hopefully this particular clip will give you some insight into these massive and exciting new projects. To wrap up the show, we turn our focus to the west coast and listen in on a press conference concerning Disney’s World of Color show coming to Disney’s California Adventure in 2010 (our apologies for the low audio quality of this particular segment).
